EGYPT SUDAN NIGER and KENYALIBYA LIBYAN JAMAHIRIYA Since 1970 REGWA have participated extensively in groundwater development schemes in Libya. Several contracts awarded to REGWA by the General Water Authority, Secretariat of Agricultural and many other organizations as well as the oil sector, and the Great Man Made River Authority (GMRA). Major projects which were implemented or under execution in the following summary: -Wadi EL Ajal, EL-Shatti and Traghen agriculture project, (300wells) covering over 40000 km2 (Fezzan/south-western of Libya). - East EL Oweinat project south west of Libya (10 wells). - Tadrart project (4 wells). - Ghat project (6 wells). - EL Berket project (2 wells). - Ghat airport project (5 wells ±1200m). - Tahala agricultural project (26 wells), Re-evaluation project. - Wadi EL Shatti well rehabilitation project (70 wells). - Obari well regeneration project (94 wells). - Drilling of 30000m in South Western areas. - Jalo - Ogela project (6 wells & long duration pumping test 90 days). - El Hamada El Hamara project for oil sector. - Groundwater investigations on El-Weigh - Tajerhi, Magdul Area. - Kufra Oasis project (18 wells) - (GMRA). - El Sara project (South East Libya) -under implementation. - Tebesti project (24wells) - under implementation - (GMRA).
