Museum Collections


           The ground floor of the E.G.S. has been specially adapted to sustain a number of displays and collections pertaining to Egyptian ethnography and “Genre de vie“ artistic and folkloric objects, and displays relevant to Egyptian explorations in the Sudan and some parts of central Africa. Such collections do not only exhibit the authentic value, but they also reflect the importance of the spatial factor in determining their characteristics. The Museum collections of the society are grouped in four categories each confined to a special hall :
