THE PUBLICATIONS

Geographical Research Series

This represents occasional publications (first published in 1996) of recent contributions in the field of geographic research.

The primary aim of this new series is to foster and encourage current researches carried out by professional Egyptian geographers. It also contributes to familiarizing relevant institutions in other parts of the world with the ongoing research activities sponsored by the Egyptian Geographical Society. To this end particularly, contributions based on original field investigations and the stimulation of topics on the methodological nature of geography and those stressing on the utilitarian and applied horizons of geography are invited. This new series will also facilitate direct access of the Arab geographical audience to the achievement of Egyptian geographers; an objective which will ultimately lead to a closer and more fruitful scientific cooperation between Arab geographers. The geographical research series will also encourage the publication of condensed abstracts and summaries of M.A. and PH.D. Dissertations ratified by Egyptian and Arab universities.
